on starting to learn how to run.
On the Walking front we cater for distances
ranging from the shortest of races through
to the Dolphin Coast Ultra Walk along the
North Coast and the Great Walk which is held

WHAT ELSE DO
WE DO ?
Every second and every last Thursday of each
month we hold our Time Trial (5 or 8
kilometres). All Runners and Walkers,
irrespective of what Club they belong to,
are welcome. All participants in the Time
Trial held on the last Thursday of the month
are eligible for the numerous lucky draw
prizes that are handed out once all the
runners/walkers have finished.
Directly after the month end Time Trial we
hold a very social braai. This monthly event
sees most of the Club membership and their
families get together for a good social
evening.
Stella Athletic Club has their own Club Den
and Bar which is the only non-smoking
bar in Durban. Our bar is air-conditioned to
provide some relief during summer and is
very cosy during winter, especially when
sipping a glass of sherry.
Every second month we send out a newsletter
to all members. The newsletter contains a
variety of interesting Athletic related
articles, race reports, away race stories,
race results, forthcoming events etc.
